What We Do

Adult Foster Care (AFC) is a MassHealth funded program that helps eligible individuals age 16 and older who need assistance with daily living remain safely in a home setting with a qualified live-in caregiver. The program supports people with medical or cognitive conditions by providing help with personal care tasks, active supervision, and essential routines such as bathing, dressing, mobility and eating. Members can stay alone for maximum of three hours a day.  The Massachusetts Council for Adult Foster Care  (MCAFC) offers professional support to agencies statewide that deliver these valuable services that allow people to remain in their communities.
